Advice from Parents.

Mom: I forbid you from looking at pretty girls...
Dad: Take your time with marriage...let the girl find you, don't go looking for one.

--//P.S. I dreamt that I transfered from UOIT...it was kinda sad.

In the Bible, God tells us to not look at each other as flesh but as soul. He tells us:
"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;..."
(Proverbs 31:30a)

I believe that you should listen to your mother -to obey your parents- and also not look at girls for what they are on exterior or physically but look at them spiritually. It continues in Proverbs 31:30...

"...but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised."
(Proverbs 31:30b)

Marriage is to unite a man and a woman together through the unification of God. God tells us in Genesis that He made Eve as Adam's helper. In simpler words, someone to help spur on Adam's walk with God. Husband and wife should walk together with God and disciple one another. We shouldn't be marrying one another because of how awesome our spouse looks like, since beauty is, as it says in Proverbs 31:30, FLEETING. If we did marry because of beauty, our parents would have all divorced when they saw each other's first wrinkle.
The world perceives marriage nowadays as just an accessory instead of a necessity. Moreover, they don't see it as Love but as sex and fun. Remember to see marriage in God's eyes not the world's eyes
"Do not conform the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve that God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will."
(Romans 12:2)
