God's Glory x Infinity.

Jesus didn't die on the cross primarily because He loved us. Yes, He did love us, that He cared to go through with all that...have GOD himself die on the cross...for humans. But His main purpose, is always because and for His glory. We are second. He is first.

Once we grasp the fact that...that nothing is about us, but it's all about the glory of Christ, then things are seen completely different.

I used to think that being a christian was all about "loving each other" and "having a comfortable home to be in", and "showing other people...that christians are about love". It's NOT ABOUT us. I was completely wrong, in my mindset. I was thinking that "I...I! am the one who shows love" or (in another topic) "I chose God!...so therefore, because I have God...I have love." I realized that was really arrogant of me. I didn't choose God...He chose me. YES, we are to love each other; and YES, we are to fellowship with one another and keep each other accontable; but NO, that is not the most important thing. God's glory is. TIMES in infinity!

The REASON we love each other...and demonstrate love...is so that God's name would be lifted up. The REASON we spread the gospel...is so God's name would increase. The REASON Jesus died on the cross for our sins, is so that we would see His grace, and give Him...the maximum glory. All this IS for the GLORY of God. Nothing...is for us.

God is completely in control. Completely Sovereign. This is all a part of His glorious great plan.

You make choices based on your scenario, based on the environment around you .The factors that affect your decision. I think...God can change those...factors. Or should I say, control them.

So that way, we're still making a choice. But in the end, God knew that choice, and planned and predestined it.

Choice V.S. Control

God has control. We have choice.

Can we reconcile those?

It kinda makes sense...a little...

Well, controlwise, it's either we have it, or God has it. 2 or more entities can't have control at the same time. It clearly states in the Bible that God is sovereign, meaning that he has complete utter independent control and authority over all things. So clearly, God's in control. And if God's control, we aren't then.

But in the Bible, it also says that we have free choice. We can make decisions. So humans have 'free choice' then.

Can we have 1) free choice...
and God be 2) Sovereignty...

at the same time? I think so...

Well, because, first off the Bible says so lol...they are already both true so...it's def not a lie.

So perhaps how can these two go together? God has total control....We have free choice....

Perhaps, "God has control over our free choice"?...that's just a thought on it...

But then, what is "free choice" again?....is it the same as being in control, when you have a choice? lol

I'm just gonna leave it there...it's quite a weird question to end off on. Not really a conclusion...

These discussions could go on...they're interesting. But one thing is, you're not supposed to understand everything about God anyways. Simply, because He's God. What does it make of Him...if we understand Him fully? We're starting understand humans (e.g. psychology, etc)...but not even close to prob discovering everything about them, and He's God. Why even try to discover exactly how he works.

Just worship Him for who He is. That's what makes Him awesome. Not knowing what He's all about (by that, I mean, 'how everything God does works out'. But DO know more about who He is..in the Bible).

Is it...?

So you think it's right to give someone something...and then take it away...?

Would you agree with the person, that is taking away..

It can be used in so many contexts...but generally, how would one feel about that?

I mean...God gives and takes away...so it's gotta be right.

I mean, there's such an unsatisfactory feeling...when something that was given to you, get's taken away. Even tho, you never would've had it from the start. It's like, the time that it's given to you, it feels like it's yours...but it isn't...

Was it ever yours to begin with really...I wonder. Is it giving, when what you have still belongs to the giver.

Is it ok to give a kid a cookie, and then take it and eat it yourself. Or is it good to give a toy to a kid, and then crush it in front of him...

MAKE WAR

"I hear so many christians, MURMURING about their imperfections, and their failures, and their addiction, and their shortcomings. And i see so little war! Murmur, murmur, murmur. Why am i this way? Make war!"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vs1Sq7M7cIU

Verse 1 (tedashii):
Bang with me
Ba-bang bang, ba-bang with me
No more playing games mane
Cause this thang can get risky
So mane if you in christ
Take up!!
Your cross quickly
Stand fearless on the frontline
Time to come with it
Do the right thing
Wake up!!
And lets get it
I ain't even in the ring
They throwing bows like riddick
Persistently attacking me
They're even in the back of me
It's either fight or loose my life and i can't take this passively
So what you think i'm bout to do
I'm bout to do what i can do
Trust the one who got me through
And fight like it was after school
Never giving up
Steady, standing on the battle field
Feet firm to the ground like i stepped on chappel hill
Flesh feeling frisky, sin persuades and tempts me
Satan cheers me on
Guilt followed by conviction
It's the same ol' trap
And we fall like we defenseless
Work your senses
Grow in wisdom
Stand firm and be relentless

Hook:
I make war!
Cause sin never sleeps
It's got me in a trance
You can see it in my dreams
I make war!
Man i beat my flesh
To the death
Every breath
Like i beat my chest
I make war
Sun up
I make war
Sun down
I make war
Time in
I make war
Time out
I make war
Against lust
Against pride

Against me
Until i die

Verse 2 (flame):
Do you even have a clue
What happened to you when he died
When that tomb got rolled when he rose in the sky
I think we emphasis sin so much
That it makes us paralyzed
And glorify struggle so much
That it makes us terrified
And deemphasize the fact that we have been sterilized from our own lives and thus
We gotta snap out of it
We aint in no straight-jacket
We free
When jesus died in our lives something strange happened
He gave us power
Yeah i know that we sinners but since he rose he's renewing the image of god in us
Now, we gotta start making war
Now we can start saying no
To them fleshy impulses that jesus christ is paying for
Now we can start taking the lead
Just like the dalai lama and start going all out like a suicide bomber
Whatever the sin is we gotta go go go harder
By his grace no time to waste and just just just like there's no tomorrow

Hook

Verse 3 (tedashii):
I'm a christ representer, fin to stand and deliver
Cause a lot of my believers struggle with their agenda
So i dropped this on an adat
Just so you could come play back
A hit to be encouraged that rocks you with truth from, way back
So listen up to it asap
Like you do a lecrae track
I'm spittin' written visions to put on heads like a wave cap
Sinning, nawl we don't play that
Cause that's the way that a slave acts
I'm filled with the spirit so tell them dog this is pay back
As you begin to copy the carbon copies of christ
And conform to his written image you should be shinning a light
If you not, why is that?
Is it fear that's been grippin' you
Cause you scared they'll be dissin' you
Flipping birds while that spit at you
If you not, why is that?
It don't matter so bump it
Perfect love cast out fear and he ain't save us for nothing
This is a privilege (privilege)
Your life to give to him (give to him)
So stand firm for him dawg and lets get it in

Craving Approval.

Idolizing and loving the approval of others...I struggle with that so much...and never realized the impact it had. Craving approval is a sin, it's just so satisfactory and pleasurable...that's why it's so dangerous.
